Andree Bemet, the creative director of the Burleigh Art Hub, holds a Masters degree in Fine Art from the Royal Melbourne Institute of Technology. Throughout her career she has been involved in visual arts as both a practitioner and educator of art in her home state of QLD, Victoria and most recently for 15 years in Hong Kong working in the international education sector.

 

Whilst in Hong Kong, Andree was the Head of Visual Art at two major Hong Kong international schools where she mentored many young emerging artists to achieve their dreams of entering world class art schools and pursue studies in various sectors of visual art and communication.

   

Since returning home, it is now her dream to continue creating art and sharing her passion and knowledge of the art making process with the local community here on the Gold Coast with both adults and students alike at the Burleigh Art Hub. Andree herself has a special interest in the 2D art disciplines specifically that of printmaking, painting and collage work. She enjoys exploring and playing with all avenues of art practice and investigating the potential of these art forms.
